The weather outside is frightful, so let's hitch up with a pre-resurgence Michael Caine, Comic Relief-period Billy Connolly and Misc. Reggae Dude for some fun in the sun with George Harrison's 1986 tax-loss,
Water...
Photo Archive: Water (1986)
ERH was laid low by a potent mix of pig flu, black bile, insoluble regret and badly resourced home-made gin this Christmas, so instead of a the cavalcade of insightful written-through cinematic salvos we promised ourselves we'd have ready for New Year, we instead spent the winter break lying on the floor moaning and cursing whilst various indeterminate fluids seeped, wept or splurged from our every orifice.
2011 instead finds us already treading
Water with yet another of our Photo Archive stopgaps, but hopefully this sunny selection of stills that recall just how
slapdash, matey and supremely fucking godawful - if occasionally fun - British cinema was back in the Eighties will brighten your rainy day just a little bit...
