Photo Archive: S*P*Y*S (1974)

We zip back to 1974 for a dip into the ERH picture archive that finds Donald Sutherland and Elliot Gould on fine photographic form in Irvin Kershner's S*P*Y*S...

Photo Archive: S*P*Y*S (1974)

Let's not be coy about it - ERH - much like The Terminator - has detailed files. So it was that whilst idly flicking through our musty old filing cabinet marked 'Swedish Art Movies '69-'75', we recently happened across this misfiled set of stills for Irving Kershner's 1974 wingding, S*P*Y*S. Now, we can't claim to have seen the film, but from this trailer it looks like a bastard child of Inspector Clouseau and Popeye Doyle that's been filmed entirely in the corridors of condemned Brooklyn slum tenements and processed in the bathtub of a crack lab. We think you'll agree, however, that these photos speak of a far more stylish and intriguing pasquinade...

Enjoy.
